Graduation Worship Service & B-Day Celebration

Finishing one stage of life well is a truly meaningful thing.

It signifies faithfulness to the time entrusted, the role given, and the tasks assigned.

From elementary school to middle school, from middle school to high school, then to university, graduate school, and finally into the real world—each step forward is like our journey of faith.

A Life before God – Coram Deo

As we move from one stage of life to the next, we come to realize something important:

“We are still under construction,” and “Learning never ends in our lives.”

It is wisdom to recognize that we are still being shaped, that growth and maturity are lifelong pursuits, and that we are living Coram Deo—a life before the face of God.

What We Remember vs. Who We Remember

To graduate from school, we must remember what we learned.

But to grow and mature in our faith, we must remember whom we are living for.

It is wisdom to live each day remembering God, the Lord of our lives.

May we strive to be faithful and holy, not only when others are watching, but even more so when no one sees—because God is always watching over us.

We pray and hope to live such a life.

인생의 한 스테이지를 잘 마무리한다는 것은 참으로 의미있는 일이다. 맡겨진 시간, 맡겨진 역할, 맡겨진 과제들에 대해 성실하다는 의미이기 때문이다. 초등학교에서 중학교로, 중학교에서 고등학교로, 고등학교에서 대학교로, 대학교에서 대학원으로, 대학원졸업으로 삶의 현장으로 한 단계 한 단계 움직이는 여정은 우리의 신앙여정과 같다.

코람데오의 삶

그러나 인생의 한 스테이지 한 스테이지를 이동하면서 깨닫는 것은 “우리는 여전히 공사중이다”라는 사실과 “우리인생에 배움은 끝이 나지 않는다”는 것이다. 우리는 여전히 공사중이고 배움과 성장과 성숙에는 끝이 없는 인생이 하나님앞에서 살아가는 <코람데오인생>임을 깨닫는 것이 지혜이다.

무엇을 기억하는가 VS 누구를 기억하는가

배운 것(What to Remember)을 기억해야 학교를 졸업할 수 있다면 누구를 기억하며 사는가(Who to Remember)를 기억해야 신앙생활의 성장과 성숙이 일어난다는 것도 지혜이다. 늘 우리 인생의 주인이신 하나님을 기억하여 나를 보는 사람이 아무도 없어도 하나님앞에서 신실하고 거룩하게 살아가기를 소망하며 기도한다.
