그린랜드 성가대가족 만찬_Greenland United Methodist Church NH

🎵 성가대원

오늘은 주일예배를 위해 아마도 가장 많은 시간과 에너지와 달란트를 헌신하는 성가대가족들의 만찬이 있었다. 예배 한시간 전에 와서 연습하고, 예배후 점심식사후 한시간 연습하고, 집에서 각자 또 연습하여 주일예배때 마음과 정성과 힘을 다해 찬양을 올려드리는 모습을 볼 때마다 감사하고 감격스럽다.

🎼 지휘자

어쩌면 인원이 많지 않으니 적당히(?) 다양한(?) 방법으로 연습시간을 줄일만도 한데 눈이오나 비가오나 늘 예배전후 한 시간씩 꼬박 연습한다. 이를 위해 지휘자님은 더 많은 시간동안 곡선정과 곡색등 다양한 음악적인 부분을 고민하실 것이고, 때로는 우리 자녀들의 악기연주연습까지 시켜주신다. 말로 표현할 수 없는 헌신과 섬김을 통해 최고의 찬양으로 하나님께 예배한다.

🎹 반주자

각 파트별로는 연습하지 않을 때 쉴 시간이 있지만, 성가연습 처음부터 끝까지 쉬지못하고 반주해주시는 반주자님과 또 서주와 후주와 찬송가등등 때로는 갑자기 요청되는 곡들까지 늘 기쁨으로 넉넉한 마음으로 섬겨주시는 반주자님께도 진심으로 감사드린다. 미리 미리 철저히 준비하지 못하는 목사를 만나 고생이 많으십니다!! 그래도 나름 최선을 다하고 있습니다~ ㅎㅎㅎ

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 성가대가족

사실, 성가대원들은 사역한다고 예배전후의 시간을 기쁨으로 드리지만, 그 시간에 가족을 내어주어야(?) 하는 배려와 섬김에도 감사드립니다. 그래서인지 오늘 만찬은 성가대원뿐만 아니라 성가대원 가족들 모두 함께 할 수 있어서 더욱 감사하고도 기쁜 것 같습니다. 깊은 배려의 마음이 담긴 식사의 자리가 더더욱 아름답고 보기 좋았습니다!

🍽️ 밥사주면 무조건 아브지!

이 많은 인원에게 한 턱을 쏘시는 김석중장로님 김정숙권사님! 완전! 대박! 진심! 감사합니다! 늘 주의 일을 기쁨으로 섬기시지만, 이렇게 큰 턱(?)을 쏘실줄은 몰랐습니다! 역시 하나님을 향항 사랑과 열정과 섬김이 초대박 사이즈입니다! 장로님과 권사님덕분에 그린랜드 성가대 가족들이 완전 행복한 시간이 되었습니다!!! 그래서 제가 오늘 정했습니다.
"대식구 밥사주면 무조건 '아브지'라 부르라~" ㅎㅎㅎ

🎵 Choir Members

Today we celebrated our Greenland Choir family with a special dinner — honoring the people who pour more time, energy, and talent into Sunday worship than perhaps anyone else. They arrive an hour early to rehearse, practice again for an hour after the service, and continue on their own at home — offering their whole hearts in praise every single Sunday. We are so grateful.

🎼 Our Director

With a smaller choir, it might be tempting to cut corners on rehearsal time — but rain or shine, snow or sleet, our director leads a full hour of practice before and after every service, without fail. Beyond that, countless more hours go into selecting music, arranging pieces, and even guiding our children's instrumental practice. The dedication and sacrifice behind every Sunday's worship is truly beyond words.

🎹 Our Accompanist

While each section gets a little break during rehearsal, our accompanist plays from beginning to end without rest — and does so with a joyful, generous spirit, ready for everything from preludes and postludes to last-minute song requests. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. (And sorry for all the times this pastor doesn't prepare far enough in advance!! I'm trying my best~ 😄)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Choir Families

Our choir members joyfully give up their before-and-after-service time for ministry — and that means their families generously give up that time too. We are so thankful for that quiet, loving sacrifice. Tonight, having both choir members _and_ their families gathered around the table together made the evening all the more beautiful and meaningful.

🍽️ "Feed the Whole Family = Dad"

A HUGE thank you to Elder Kim Seok-jung and Deaconess Kim Jeong-suk for treating this entire crowd to dinner! We had no idea you were planning something this generous — but it is completely on brand for two people whose love, passion, and service for God are simply supersized! Because of you, the entire Greenland Choir family had an absolutely wonderful evening!!! So I've officially decided: _"Anyone who feeds this many people at once shall henceforth be called 'Dad.'"_ 😂
