A Very Special Lunch with Beswick Engineering Family!!!
I had the privilege of being invited to a very special gathering today: the Beswick Engineering employee dinner, run by SK. This was my first time being invited to a company dinner outside of church events. Since the meal was shared by colleagues who work together like family, their conversations truly felt like a family dialogue. I thought, ‘What greater happiness is there than a life where people meet and work together every day with such a familial spirit?’
What was even more surprising was that quite a few employees have worked at the company for over 30 or 20 years. To work somewhere that long, you must love the work, the relationships must be good, and you must respect the boss. Hearing that so many people fit that description made me instinctively think, ‘What a truly great company with an excellent leader!’
I was surprised yet again when I was asked to say a prayer before the dinner started. Knowing that some people might not practice a faith, I kept the prayer relatively short, as requested by SK. Yet, I was simply grateful for the privilege of praying for a company's staff outside of a church setting.
My heartfelt thanks again to SK and ChanLing Beswick for inviting me to this precious company dinner! I will continue to pray for Beswick Engineering's business and its family of employees.
오늘은 아주 특별한 모임에 초대를 받았습니다. SK가 운영하는 Beswick Engineering 직원 회식모임이었습니다. 교회이외에 직원회식모임에 초대받은 적은 처음입니다. 한 회사에서 일하는 가족들이 함께 식사를 하는 자리여서 그런지 동료들간의 이야기가 마치 가족들간의 대화처럼 느껴졌습니다. 이렇게 가족의 마음으로 매일 만나서 일한다면 이 보다 더 행복한 삶이 있을까 싶었습니다.
더욱 놀란 것은 이 회사에서 30년, 20년 넘게 일하신 분들이 적지 않은 것이었습니다. 이렇게 오랫동안 일하려면 일도 좋아야하고, 관계도 좋아야 하고, 사장님도 좋아야 가능한 일일텐데 그런 분들이 많다는 이야기를 들으면서 정말 좋은 회사에 좋은 사장님이구나! 라는 생각이 저절로 들었습니다.
또 한 번 더 놀란것은 회사회식 시작전에 저에게 기도를 해달라는 부탁이었습니다. 신앙생활을 하지 않으시는 분들도 계실텐데 SK 사장님의 부탁으로 식사기도도 하였습니다. 혹시라도 불편하게 여기는 분들이 계실까해서 나름(?) 짧게 했습니다. 그래도 교회밖에서 한 회사의 직원들을 위해서 기도할 수 있는 특권을 누릴 수 있어서 그저 감사했습니다.
다시 한 번 귀한 회사회식에 초대해준 SK와 ChanLing Beswick 감사해요! 이제 조금 더 Beswick Engineering의 사업과 회사가족들을 위해서 기도할께요~
