All Time Happy Moment - "Eating Together"
It is always a joy to share a meal with God’s family. Especially precious are the times spent in fellowship with those who quietly and faithfully serve the body of Christ. Recently, I had the opportunity to share a meal with two families who feel uncomfortable being in the spotlight or receiving attention from others. According to their own words, they wish to live “slowly and steadily,” but to me, it felt more like a desire to serve the Lord “quietly yet gently.”
They grilled for us the precious _songi_ mushrooms they had picked themselves from the mountains — a delicacy so rare and valuable that people even call it “mushroom meat.” I was able to truly taste the rich, deep flavor of the wild pine mushrooms, far more precious than any meat.
As they shared this rare gift with my wife and me, I was once again reminded of how noble and gracious their heart toward God’s heart.
Without realizing how time passed, we laughed and talked, sharing our lives — lives that, though growing older, are ripening beautifully in the Lord. It was a warm and fulfilling Sunday evening that filled my heart with both gratitude and quiet joy.
