<Companionship: Walking Together>

One of the essential values in our life of faith is *walking together*. This is because faith can be described as "walking with God and walking with others." However, to walk together with someone, we must adjust our pace. Some people walk fast, while others walk more slowly. When two people walk together, one of them must adjust their speed to match the other. And if a larger group is walking together, even more people must be willing to let go of their own pace and walk in harmony with the group. The more people there are, the harder it becomes to walk together. However, if we succeed in walking as one, we will share the same time, the same air, and the same joy—blessings that we could never experience alone.

<A Person Is a Library>

Each person is a <Library> of their own. Within them are emotions, knowledge, wisdom, relationships, and moments of inspiration that no one else could ever fully experience. Even when we listen to someone's story, we can only perceive it indirectly through our ears and imagination—we cannot live or feel it ourselves. That is why, just as we carefully explore books in a library, taking time to read, reflect, and absorb them, we must cherish and attentively listen to each person's story. As we hear the stories that have unfolded in other people’s lives, our own perspectives expand, and the depth of our lives grows richer.

Today, we had the opportunity to appreciate the works of Sun-Ok Kim. Seeing her artwork displayed throughout her home, I caught a glimpse of the world of God she had meditated on and imagined in each moment. Paul Estey graciously guided us through every corner, showing us the treasures of her artistic journey!

<May Our History Become His Story>

Furthermore, when we hear about God’s work in someone else’s life, we come to know aspects of God we have not yet experienced ourselves. The Bible is filled with stories of God revealing Himself in people’s lives—each testimony in Scripture is <His Story> unfolding through different individuals. Likewise, our histories is transformed into <His Story> as we journey with God. This is the greatest blessing of companionship: through walking with others, we witness God’s work in their lives, deepening our understanding of Him.

Through this <Lenten Journey>, I pray that we will discover new dimensions of God's character—ones we have yet to experience or understand. May this journey not only strengthen our relationship with God but also deepen our bonds with our fellow companions.

<From Buffet to Potluck>

Today, our gathering took on a slightly new format. In the past, a speaker would prepare and serve a rich spiritual feast. But today, each person brought a piece of spiritual nourishment—something that had blessed them—and shared it with the group. This created a more diverse and enriching experience. Just as a potluck meal offers a variety of flavors, the testimonies of God’s work in each person’s life were uniquely profound, carrying tastes and textures found nowhere else in the world.

I pray that as we continue to share these diverse stories of God’s work in our lives, our spirits will be shaped and nurtured by them. May this journey of companionship lead us into a deeper experience of God's presence, His love, and His divine story woven through each of our lives.

<동행>

<From Buffet To Potluck>
