오늘은 교단을 초월하여 뉴잉글랜드지역에서 한인교회를 섬기시는 목사님들과 사모님들이 함께 모여 예배드리고 식사를 나누며 교제했다. 미국에서 기독교 인구가 가장 적은 뉴잉글랜드 지역에서 사역하시는 분들은 모두 선교사의 마음으로 살아가고 계심을 느꼈다. 열악한 상황이지만, 예수님때문에 복음때문에 지금까지 있을 수 있었다는 고백을 가슴으로 공유할 수 있었다. 앞으로 예수님때문에 함께 걸어갈 수 있는 동역자들이 많아졌다. 이런 마음을 공유할 수 있는 동역자가 있다면 어떤 환경이든 잘 이겨나갈 수 있을 것 같다.
특별히, 사랑과 열정으로 주의 종들을 존귀히 여기는 그린랜더스의 섬김으로 하나님의 그 크신 사랑을 누릴 수 있었다. 뉴잉글랜드에서의 최고의 메뉴인 '랍스터'와 '김치찜'은 어떤 메뉴로도 이길 수 없는 메뉴을 다시 한 번 확인하는 시간이었습니다.
늘 하나님을 사랑하는 마음으로 하나님의 일꾼들을 기쁨으로 섬기는 그린랜드가족들을 사랑하지 않을 수 없다. 정말 정말 너무 너무 감사드립니다~ 그린랜더스 여러분들의 큰 사랑과 섬김에 힘입어 저희가 더욱 힘내어 하나님의 교회와 하나님의 나라를 위해 힘써 일하겠습니다!!! 할렐루야!!!
New England Korean Pastors Association - Annual Conference
Today, pastors and their wives from various denominations who serve Korean churches across the New England region gathered together for worship, fellowship, and a shared meal. In this part of the United States—where the Christian population is among the lowest—I could truly feel that each of them lives with the heart of a missionary.
Even in challenging circumstances, we shared deeply from the heart the same confession: _“It is only because of Jesus, only because of the Gospel, that we are still here.”_ And because of Jesus, we now have more companions to walk this journey of faith together. When there are co-laborers who share the same heart and mission, we can overcome any circumstance with joy and hope.
We were especially touched by the loving hospitality of the Greenlanders, who honored God’s servants with such warmth and passion. Through their sincere service, we experienced the greatness of God’s love in a tangible way.
And what a feast it was! The combination of New England lobster and Korean braised kimchi is simply unbeatable—no menu could top that!
It’s impossible not to love the Greenland family, who continually serve God’s workers with joy and love for the Lord.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so, so much! Because of your great love and generosity, we are renewed in strength and passion to continue serving God’s Church and advancing His Kingdom.
