오늘은 지난 Devotional Life in the Wesleyan Tradition을 마친 Lay Servants들과 함께 수료를 축하하며 마지막 나눔의 시간을 가졌다. 말씀을 소중히 여기는 사람들과의 만남은 언제나 흐르는 은혜가 있다. 말씀때문에 울고, 말씀때문에 웃고, 말씀때문에 음식도 하고, 말씀때문에 서로의 아픔과 기쁨도 함께 공감하며 시간이 가는 줄 모르고 이야기한다.
말씀때문에 감격한 사람들의 이야기를 들으면 정말 신비로울 뿐이다. 오래전부터 들었던 말씀인데 다시 들린다는 고백이다. 자신의 삶의 깊은 곳으로 들어와서 자신의 심령을 움직여서 말씀대로 '살아서 운동력 있고, 관절과 골수를 쪼개며 마음의 생각과 뜻을 분별하는 능력'을 체험했다는 이야기이다. 아무리 말로 설명해도 충분하지 않은 그 말씀의 능력을 그저 공감하며 고개만 끄덕일 뿐이다.
앞으로 함께 걸어갈 그 여정이 기대가 된다. 이런 마음으로 함께 마음과 말씀을 함께 나눈다면 우리의 신앙생활이 더이상 형식적이거나 습관적이지 않고, 경건의 모양만이 아니라 경건의 능력을 경험하는 여정이 될 것을 확신한다. 신앙생활을 하며 누구와 동행하며 어떤 이야기를 나누냐가 정말 정말 중요함을 다시 한 번 깨닫는 시간이었다. 이 고귀한 여정에 동참한 한 분 한 분을 주님의 능력을 의지하여 축복하고 또 축복한다!!!

“Another Page of Precious Memories”
Today, we celebrated the completion of _Devotional Life in the Wesleyan Tradition_ with our Lay Servants and shared a meaningful time of reflection together. Whenever I meet people who treasure God’s Word, grace naturally overflows. We cry because of the Word, we laugh because of the Word, we prepare food because of the Word, and we share in each other’s joys and sorrows because of the Word—losing track of time as we talk together.
Listening to the testimonies of those deeply moved by Scripture is truly a mystery. Many said, “It’s a passage I’ve heard countless times, but today it sounded completely new.” They testified that the Word entered the depths of their hearts, stirring their souls and proving to be _“alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword… judging the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”_ No matter how much we try to explain that power with words, we can only nod in awe, deeply resonating with one another.
I’m filled with hope for the journey ahead. When we continue to share our hearts and God’s Word in this spirit, our faith life will no longer be formal or habitual. Instead, we will experience not just the appearance of godliness, but its true power.
Through this gathering, I was reminded once again how deeply important it is to walk with the right companions and to share life-giving conversations along the way. I bless, in the strength of the Lord, each and every one who has joined this sacred journey—again and again, with all my heart!
