2025 Lenten Journey Guide
Lent is a Christian tradition that commemorates the suffering and death of Jesus Christ while preparing for Easter. It spans 40 days (excluding Sundays) before Easter and is observed as a time of repentance, prayer, fasting, and spiritual discipline. This season is an opportunity to renew faith, partake in Christ’s suffering, and grow spiritually.
During the 2025 Lenten season, Greenlanders will embark on a special journey called "Lenten Journey". We will read one chapter of a selected book each day, reflecting on related Bible verses or personal thoughts and recording them as a spiritual journal. Participants are encouraged to share their reflections online with their Companion Group members, during the weekly Coram Deo class, or at the monthly Companion Group gathering, fostering spiritual companionship and growth.
For the 2025 Lenten Journey, we will be reading Deep-Rooted Spirituality (뿌리깊은영성). As I look back on my 25 years of ministry and missionary work, I have realized that this book has played a foundational role in shaping my Coram Deo life—living before the face of God. Through this journey, I pray that our Greenland family will deepen our spiritual roots in Christ.Program Details
- Duration: March 1 – April 21, 2025 (52 days)
- How It Works:
- Read one chapter daily and record personal reflections in a spiritual journal, sharing them in the Small Group group chat.
- Share one key reflection from the week at the weekly Coram Deo class
- Share one key reflection from the month at the monthly Small Group gathering.

2025 사순절동행 안내
사순절(Lent)은 예수 그리스도의 고난과 죽음을 기념하며 부활절을 준비하는 기독교 전통의 절기입니다. 부활절 전 40일 동안(주일 제외)을 의미합니다. 이 기간은 회개, 기도, 금식 등 절제훈련을 통해 신앙을 새롭게 하고, 예수님의 고난에 동참하며 영적으로 성숙해지는 시간으로 지킵니다.
2025년 사순절기간동안 그린랜드교회에서는 <사순절동행>을 하려고 합니다. 책 한 권을 선정하여 매일 한 장(chapter)씩 읽고, 읽으면서 생각난 성경말씀 혹은 생각들을 기록하여 자신의 영성일기를 기록하는 것입니다. 또한 매일 기록한 자신의 영성일기를 <속회>가족들과 온라인으로 나누거나, 일주일에 한 번 있는 <코람데오> 모임에서 나누거나, 한 달에 한 번 있는 <속회> 모임에서 나누며 영적인 동반자들과 공유하며 영적성장의 계기를 만들어 보려고 합니다.
2025년 <사순절동행>에 그린랜드가족들이 함께 읽을 책은 <뿌리깊은영성> 입니다. 제가 지난 25년간의 목회와 선교사역을 되돌아보니 지금의 제가 하나님앞에서 "코람데오의 삶"을 살아갈 수 있도록 저의 영성의 기둥을 만들어 준 책 임을 발견하게 되었습니다. 2025년 사순절동행을 통해 우리 그린랜드 가족들의 영성을 예수 그리스도께 깊이 내리를 시간이 되기를 소망하며 기도합니다.

- 매일 한 장(Chapter)씩 읽고 매일 개인 묵상노트에 자신의 생각이나 묵상을 적고 <속회카톡방>에서 나눈다. (52회)
- 매 주 모이는 <코람데오> 모임에서 일주일동안 묵상한 것 중의 한 가지를 나눈다. (7회)
- 매 월 모이는 <속회> 모임에서 한 달 동안 묵상한 것 중의 한 가지를 나눈다. (2회)
