<Soul Care> is about cultivating the garden within our hearts. The heart can be deceitful above all things and desperately corrupt, and depending on how we tend it, it can produce either good or evil. Therefore, among the many things we should nurture in life, the wisest act is to guard our hearts.
People of God, having received Jesus as Christ, live with the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. If holiness, purity, and beauty reside within us, we will undoubtedly bear the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. However, if filthy and corrupt words come from our lips, we need to carefully examine what truly fills our hearts.
If we desire to genuinely confess, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me," we must plant the seeds of God's Word in the garden of our hearts. Let us nourish these holy seeds, remove the weeds, and carefully cultivate the soil so that we may abundantly bear the fruits of the Spirit.
[Luke 6:45, NIV] A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
<영혼관리>란 내 속에 있는 마음의 정원을 가꾸는 것이다. 마음은 만물보다 거짓되고 심히 부패할 수도 있고, 어떻게 가꾸냐에 따라 선한 것들이 나올 수도 있고, 악한 것들이 나올 수도 있기 때문이다. 그래서 인간의 삶에서 가꾸어야 할 것들이 많은데 마음을 지키는 것이 가장 지혜로운 자이다.
하나님의 사람들은 예수를 그리스도로 영접함으로 우리안에 성령을 모시고 사는 사람들이다. 우리 안에 거룩하고 정결하고 아름다운 것들이 있다면 우리는 분명히 사랑과 희락과 화평과 오래 참음과 자비와 양선과 충성과 온유와 절제 등 성령의 열매들을 맺으며 사는것이 맞다. 그러나 우리의 입술에서 더럽고 추악한 것들이 나온다면 우리 안에 무엇이 가득차 있는지 잘 살펴야 할 것이다.
이제는 내가 사는 것이 아니라 그리스도께서 사는 것이라고 고백하길 원한다면 우리의 마음의 정원에 말씀의 씨앗을 심고, 그 거룩한 씨앗이 잘 자랄 수 있도록 거룩한 영양분도 주고 잡초도 제거하고 땅도 잘 솎아주어 성령의 열매를 풍성하게 맺으며 살기를 소망한다.
