Dear Greenland Family,
I hope you’ve had a peaceful week.
Though the world remains noisy and chaotic, I pray that you may find peace in the Lord. Just as the eye of a storm is calm even in the midst of a hurricane, I hope that each of us can stay centered in our lives and find serenity and peace within.
<A Week That Changed the World: Holy Week, March 29–April 3>
This coming Sunday (March 29) is Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week. It is the day when people waved palm branches to welcome Jesus as He entered Jerusalem, unaware of where He was heading. Conversely, it is also the day Jesus set out on the path of suffering and death leading to the cross. Rev. Kim Young-bong even wrote a book about this week titled “The Week That Changed the World.” As such, Palm Sunday and Holy Week are a significant time we must spend in deep reflection.
During Palm Sunday and Holy Week, I hope this will be a time for us to examine the fundamental reason we live as Christians, to check whether we are walking in the right direction as God’s people, and to deeply reflect on the attitude and posture with which we walk that path.
<Easter Sunday> April 5, 10:30 a.m.
Next Sunday (April 5) is Resurrection Sunday. It is the day Jesus died and rose again, granting us eternal life. It is also a day to proclaim Jesus Christ, who granted us salvation, to celebrate His resurrection, and to give thanks. I hope we can give thanks to the Lord with our entire families—who share in this joy—by offering up thanksgiving, praise, and glory to Him, as we express gratitude for coming to believe in Jesus and live for Him, for God’s grace in saving us, and for His guidance in enabling us to participate in His work!
See you Palm Sunday~
