There’s something so special about walking through life with others. Especially with companions who treasure God’s Word, draw near to listen, share honestly what they’ve heard and pondered, and respond to the Word with reverence. To walk with such people—who listen, learn, and encourage one another—is one of the greatest sources of strength God gives us in this world.
Companions in the Word
Every Friday at 10 a.m., our faithful spiritual companions gather as always. Right away, we check in with our handwritten Bible notebooks—one chapter a day, sometimes more. They’ve become holy reminders to us all.
When someone quietly says, “I couldn’t write this week…” another responds with a gentle smile, “That’s okay. It happens. Just pick it up again next week!” And sure enough, the next week they come back with renewed joy—pen in hand, Word on heart. What amazing spiritual companions!
Let the Summer Journey Begin
Today, we did something special to welcome the summer. Instead of meeting at church, we gathered somewhere new—our very own summer outing!
We met at Sunch’s restaurant, where cool, mouthwatering naengmyeon (cold noodles) waited for us.
With God’s Word, in God’s presence, and alongside these dear companions of the Word—we begin again, day by day. How thankful I am for these precious friends who help me live out the Kingdom of God here and now!
언제 만나도 좋은 친구들~~
누군가 나와 함께한다는 것은 참으로 기쁜 일이다. 특별히 하나님의 말씀을 소중하게 여기고, 하나님의 말씀앞에 나아가 듣고 묵상한 말씀을 가감없이 나누며, 말씀에 반응하는 것들을 서로 존귀히 여기며 듣고 배우며 격려하는 동반자들이 있다는 것은 이 땅에서 살아갈 힘을 얻는 중요한 공급처이다.
말씀의 동반자들~~
오늘도 매주 금요일 오전 10시가되면 변함없이 모이는 영적인 동반자들이 모였다. 모이자 마자 매일 매일 한 장씩 때로는 그 이상씩 쓰는 성경필사노트를 서로 점검하여 거룩한 리마인더들이 되어준다. “이번 주는 못했어요…” 라고 누군가 말하면, “괜찮아. 그럴 때도 있지. 다시 하면 돼~” 라고 서로 위로하여 그 다음 주에는 다시 탄력을 받아 다시 성경을 써오신다! what an amazing spiritual companions!!!
여름여행을 시작해요~~
오늘은 특별히 다가오는 여름을 맞아 교회가 아닌 다른 장소에서 만나기로 했다. ‘한 여름의 외출?’장소로 손순자권사님의 가게에서 모였다. 시원하고도 군침을 돌게하는 냉면과 함께 ‘여름여행’을 시작했다! ‘말씀과 함께 하나님과 함께 그리고 말씀동반자들과 함께’ 또 다시~ 매일 매일 시작한다! 이 땅에서 하나님나라의 삶을 경험하며 살 수 있도록 귀한 동반자들을 허락하신 하나님께 감사한다!
