"지혜로운 자와 동행하면 지혜를 얻고 미련한 자와 사귀면 해를 받느니라" [잠언 13:20]
비전트립이란 우리의 삶의 방향(Vision)을 찾는 여행(Trip)이라고 할 수 있습니다. 인생의 방향은 내가 소중하게 여기는 가치를 기준으로 방향을 설정합니다. 내가 소중하게 여기는 가치는 나와 함께 하는 사람들과의 관계에서 발견합니다. 누구와 어떤 이야기를 하느냐에 따라 내 인생의 소중하게 여기는 가치가 달라집니다.
이런 의미에서 자신의 인생을 영원불변한 하나님나라의 일을 위하여 헌신한 선교사님의 삶을 보고, 대화를 나누고, 그 선교사님이 어디를 바라보며 살아가는지를 직접 보고 체험하며 선교사님의 이야기를 듣는 것은 우리 인생의 방향설정에 아주 큰 도움이 됩니다.
우리 모두가 선교사가 되어야 한다는 이야기가 아닙니다. 살아가는 방향이 명확하게 결정한 사람의 삶을 짧지만 체험해보자는 것입니다. 그 선교사님의 삶을 통해 이번 비전트립에 참여하는 한 사람 한 사람의 삶의 방향이 조금이라도 선명해지기를 소망하며 기도합니다.

“Walk with the wise and become wise,
for a companion of fools suffers harm.”
— Proverbs 13:20
A vision trip can be understood as a journey to discover the direction of our lives. The direction of life is shaped by the values we hold most dearly. And those values are often revealed through the relationships we keep.
Who we walk with, and the conversations we share, slowly but surely shape what we come to value in life.
In this sense, seeing the life of a missionary who has devoted their entire life to the unchanging work of God’s Kingdom—listening to their story, sharing conversations, and witnessing what they look toward and live for—can greatly help us clarify the direction of our own lives.
This is not to say that everyone must become a missionary.
Rather, it is an invitation to briefly experience the life of someone who lives with a clear and unwavering sense of direction.
Through the life and story of that missionary, we pray that the direction of each person participating in this vision trip may become even a little clearer.
