Day 18. 삶을 함께 경험하기
"두 세 사람이 내 이름으로 모인 곳에는 나도 그들 중에 있느니라" (마18:20)
내가 소그룹을 소중하게 여기고, 소그룹마다 참여하려고 하는 이유는 이 말씀때문이다. 예수님께서 두 세 사람이 예수님의 이름으로 모인 곳에 함께 하신다고 하셨으니 나도 그래야겠다고 생각했다. 그런데 내가 그렇게 참여할 수 있는 소그룹의 수는 한계가 있음을 깊이 깨닫고 있다. 나와 동일한 마음으로 소그룹을 섬길 수 있는 소그룹지도자들이 세워져야 함을 강하게 느끼고 있다.
진정한교제가 이루어지는 공동체, 서로의 필요성을 공감하는 공동체, 서로의 약점이 보호받고 치유되는 공동체를 만들기 위해 우리에게 필요한 것은 무엇인가? 함께 고민하며 함께 만들어가는 소그룹공동체, 작은교회들이 탄생하기를 소망하며 기도한다.
Day 18. Experiencing Life Together
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." — Matthew 18:20
This verse is the reason I treasure small groups and make every effort to be present in each one. If Jesus promises to be present wherever two or three gather in His name, then I want to be there too. And yet I am becoming increasingly aware that the number of small groups I can personally show up for has real limits. I feel it more strongly than ever: small group leaders need to be raised up — people who carry the same heart and can serve these communities with the same devotion.
What do we need in order to build communities where genuine fellowship truly happens — where people feel each other's needs, where weaknesses are protected rather than exposed, and where healing can take place? My hope and prayer is that small group communities would be born — little churches within the church — shaped together through shared reflection and shared effort, not handed down from above but built from within.
