Day 23.
<성장>
No Pain, No Gain.
Day 23. How to Grow
<Growth>
One of the goals of the Christian life is “growth.” In other words, it can be described as “becoming more like Jesus,” “living a life filled with God’s heart,” and “viewing the world through God’s eyes, feeling with God’s heart, and enjoying the joy of God’s kingdom on earth through relationships that reflect God’s character.”
As the author states in this book, “Spiritual growth does not happen on its own. It requires intentional decision and commitment. Growth is always accompanied by growing pains. There is no such thing as “enjoyable” growth. The more you desire to change, grow, and mature, the more pain you must endure. No Pain, No Gain. Nothing in this world can be obtained without paying a price. Free things lack substance. Very few people truly value what they receive without effort. Only when we pay the necessary price for something precious does it gain true significance and weight.
The questions we must clearly answer are:
- "Do I sincerely want to change, grow, and mature?"
- "Am I mentally prepared to pay the price for that change?"
[Philippians 2:12-18] - "A Life of Working Out Your Salvation."
12 Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence but now much more in my absence—work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God who works in you, both to will and to act according to his good purpose.
14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing.
