<Depth of Spirituality> can be described as the depth of one’s relationship and communication with God. This depth is not merely an abstract concept but is reflected through the harmony of our words, actions, and character. It is seen in how we form meaningful and genuine relationships with others and how deeply we communicate with them. Though spirituality is invisible to the eye, it becomes evident in the integrity of our character, shaped by our words and actions, and ultimately revealed in our interactions with others. This harmony among our speech, behavior, and character is the very depth of who we are—and of our spirituality.
[Colossians 4:6, NIV] Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
As Colossians 4:6 reminds us, the depth of our spirituality and character is revealed when our speech is gracious and seasoned with salt. Through the thoughtful use of words, we can cultivate relationships that are rich and beautiful, drawing us ever deeper into the spiritual life.
Heavenly Father,
May the Word and Spirit You pour into me today deepen not only my relationship with You but also my relationships with those around me. Lead me by the Holy Spirit so that through refined and gracious speech, I may reflect Your holy nature and let it flow through my life.

<영성의 깊이>는 하나님과의 관계의 깊이이자 하나님과 소통의 깊이라고 할 수 있다. 그 하나님과의 관계의 깊이, 즉 영성의 깊이는 나의 말과 행동으로 형성된 인격에서 나타나고, 다른 사람과의 관계에서 얼마나 깊은 관계를 형성하며 얼마나 깊은 소통을 이루는가로 나타난다. 영성은 우리의 눈으로 볼 수는 없지만, 나의 말과 행동으로 형성된 인격에서 볼 수 있고, 그 인격은 다른 사람과의 관계에서 발견할 수 있다. 이 때에 발견되는 말과 행동과 인격의 조화는 나의 인격의 깊이이자 영성의 깊이이다.
[골로새서 4:6] 너희 말을 항상 은혜 가운데서 소금으로 맛을 냄과 같이 하라 그리하면 각 사람에게 마땅히 대답할 것을 알리라
골로새서 4:6 말씀처럼 영성과 인격의 깊이는 말을 소금처럼 적절하게 사용할 때에 거룩하고 선한 영향력에서 나타나게 된다. 적절한 언어사용으로 사람과의 관계를 깊고 아름답게 가꾸어 보다 깊은 영성의 세계로 나아갈 수 있기를 소망하며 기도한다.
<오늘의 기도>
하나님 아버지, 오늘도 하나님께서 부어주시는 말씀과 성령으로 인하여 하나님과의 관계가 깊어질 뿐만 아니라 내 주변 사람들과의 관계도 깊어지게 하시고, 나의 정제된 언어를 통하여 하나님의 거룩한 성품을 흘려보내는 삶이 되도록 성령으로 인도하여 주옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.
