다들 건강하게 계신가요?
저는 이번 감기를 호되게 겪으면서 감기때문에 고생하시는 분들의 마음과 삶을 제대로 체험하는 시간이었습니다. 기침을 할 때에 가슴과 온 몸이 저리게 아팠던 적은 처음이었던거 같습니다. 많이 좋아져서 약간의 기침은 남아있지만 그래도 지난 주일에 비하면 아주 많이 좋아진 상태입니다. 그래도 건강을 주의하셔야 하는 분들은 저를 가까이 하지 마시고 조심하시는게 좋을 것 같습니다. 감기회복속도도 예전같지 않음을 느끼며 정말 많은 생각을 하는 한 주간이었습니다. 모두들 "감기조심하세요~"
Rise Against Hunger (4/25, 토, 9am) - 자원봉사자 모집
Rise Against Hunger는 전 세계 기아 종식을 목표로 하는 국제 인도주의 단체입니다. 자원봉사자들이 함께 모여 영양 식사 패키지를 포장하고, 이를 세계 각지의 어린이와 가족들에게 전달합니다. 우리 그린랜드가족들이 다함께 모여서 기아로 고통당하는 아이들을 위해 동역하는 날이 되기를 소망합니다.
현재 자원봉사자들을 인원을 확인하고 있습니다. 4월 25일 토요일에 참석하여 함께 하실 수 있는 분들은 차도형전도사님께 말씀해주시기 바랍니다. 간단한 점심식사도 준비하고 있으니 참석여부를 말씀해주셔서 인원에 맞게 식사준비할 수 있도록 협조해주시면 감사하겠습니다.
Korean Festival (6/13,토,10am-3pm)
드디어, 그린랜드교회가 한인디아스포라로서 미국땅을 섬기는 대망의 선교사역을 감당하는 날입니다. 141년전 한국땅에 복음을 심었던 미국교회들과 성도들과 선교사들에게 진 '복음의 빚'을 갚는 날입니다. 지금 우리가 하나님의 사람으로 하나님나라의 기쁨을 누릴 수 있는 것은 우리에게 전해준 선교사들이 있었기 때문입니다. Korean Festival을 통하여 우리가 있는 이 그린랜드 땅에서 하나님의 사람으로 미국사회를 섬기는 기쁨의 선교가 흘러가는 날이 되기를 소망하며 기도합니다. 다양한 모습으로 동참하여 복음의 사명을 감당하는 그린랜더스가 되기를 소망하며 기도합니다.

Dear Greenland family,
I hope you’re all staying healthy.
I’ve been battling a severe cold lately, and it’s been a time for me to truly understand the struggles and daily lives of those suffering from colds. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such a sharp, aching pain in my chest and throughout my body when I coughed before. I’m feeling much better now—I still have a slight cough, but I’m in much better shape than I was last Sunday. Still, if you’re someone who needs to be extra careful about your health, it’s probably best to keep your distance from me and take precautions. It’s been a week of deep reflection, as I’ve realized that I don’t recover from colds as quickly as I used to. Everyone, please “stay healthy and avoid catching a cold!”
Rise Against Hunger (Sat, Apr 25, 9:00 AM) – Volunteers Wanted
Rise Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organization dedicated to ending global hunger. Volunteers come together to pack nutritious meal kits, which are then distributed to children and families around the world. We hope this will be a day when our Greenland family gathers together to serve children suffering from hunger.
We are currently confirming the number of volunteers. If you are able to attend and join us on Saturday, April 25, please let Pastor Cha Do-hyung know. We will be providing a light lunch, so please let us know if you plan to attend so we can prepare enough food for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.
Korean Festival (Sat, June 13, 10am–3pm)
Finally, the day has come for Greenland Church to fulfill the long-awaited mission of serving the American land as part of the Korean diaspora. This is the day we repay the “debt of the Gospel” we owe to the American churches, believers, and missionaries who planted the Gospel in Korea 141 years ago. It is because of the missionaries who passed the Gospel on to us that we, as God’s people, are able to enjoy the joy of God’s kingdom today. We pray that through the Korean Festival, this day will be one where the joyful mission of serving American society as God’s people flows from this land of Greenland where we live. We pray that you will become Greenlanders who participate in various ways to fulfill the mission of the Gospel.
