Chichigua Village
Helene Hwang
Chichigua Village
Watering the Mission Field with the Word and Color
Chichigua VillageThis village, home to children from Haitian diaspora families, is no longer just a place to live — it has become a space where the Word of God breathes.
Missionary Helen Hwang has opened her heart and her home, adopting children without parents and becoming family to them. She teaches teenagers English, preparing them for a future full of hope. And each time our mission team visits, we plant another seed.
We pick up paintbrushes and give worn walls a fresh coat of color — yellow, sky blue, soft green. And into those walls, we inscribe the Word of God.
Because the Word is not only something we speak.
It is something we can show.
Art is not decoration.
Art is a vessel for the Gospel.
Every wall these children pass by each day is a space that rewrites their identity:
"You are loved."
"God is with you."
Chichigua Village is a place where the seeds of the Gospel are being watered — right in the heart of the Haitian diaspora.
Please pray with us. 🙏
That these children — a generation being protected — will grow to become leaders who build up the next generation.
