Brokenness - "The Channel Through Which God's Power Comes"
When the self is broken, when the boundaries of my life collapse under God's word, God's power begins to enter. As God's power begins to flow in, God's word permeates and colors what I once thought was mine, and just as Moses' staff became God's staff, the things I possess are no longer mine but God's.
When our lives begin to be covered by the Holy Spirit in this way, our selves fall and die like a grain of wheat falling to the ground, and we bear the fruit that God desires. Rather than loving ourselves, we love what God loves; rather than seeking our own joy, we rejoice in what pleases God. This is why we confess that it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
[John 12:24] "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit."
[John 6:38] "For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me."
[Galatians 2:20] "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
깨어짐 - "하나님의 능력이 임하는 통로"
자아가 깨질 때, 내 삶의 경계가 하나님의 말씀으로 무너질 때 하나님의 능력이 들어오기 시작한다. 그럼 하나님의 능력이 들어오기 시작하면 내것이라고 생각했던 것들에 하나님의 말씀이 스며들어 물들기 시작하고 모세의 지팡이가 하나님의 지팡이가 된 것처럼 내게 있는 것들은 더이상 내것이 아니라 하나님의 것이 된다.
이렇게 거룩한 영으로 내 삶이 덮이기 시작할 때 우리 자신은 땅에 떨어지는 한 알의 밀처럼 떨어져 죽고, 하나님께서 맺기 원하시는 열매를 맺게 된다. 나를 사랑하기보단 하나님께서 사랑하시는 것을 더 사랑하고, 내 기쁨보단 하나님이 기뻐하시는 일들을 더 기뻐하게 된다. 그래서 이제는 내가 사는 것이 아니라 내 안에 계신 그리스도께서 사시는 것이라고 고백하는 것이다.
