Day 13. 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 예배
"네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하고 힘을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하신 것이요" - [마가복음 12:30]
"아버지께 참되게 예배하는 자들은 영과 진리로 예배할 때가 오나니 곧 이 때라 아버지께서는 자기에게 이렇게 예배하는 자들을 찾으시느니라 하나님은 영이시니 예배하는 자가 영과 진리로 예배할지니라" - [요한복음 4:23-24]
예배란 영이신 하나님을 진리의 말씀이신 예수님을 통한 인격적 만남. 진정한 예배를 통해 하나님을 더 깊이 알아가게 되고, 사랑하게 되고, 하나님을 기뻐하며 기쁘시게 하는 삶이 진정한 예배자의 삶이다.
겉모습, 형식, 혹은 모양은 우리의 중심이 주님께 집중하도록 하는 역할을 해야한다. 문화적으로나 관습과 전통에 따라 다를 수 있지만, 수정과 보완은 중심을 보시는 하나님께 우리의 중심을 온전히 드릴 수 있는 방법을 선택해야 한다.
<질문> 하나님을 기쁘시게 하기 위해 나는 어떻게 할 것인가?
하나님의 말씀때문에 하나님께로 가까이 가도록 돕는 도우미/코치의 삶을 살아가길 소망한다. 한 절의 묵상때문에 하나님의 마음을 깊이 깨닫는 깊은 은혜속으로 가도록 돕고 싶다.
Day 13. Worship That Pleases God
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." — Mark 12:30
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth." — John 4:23–24
Worship is a personal encounter with God — who is Spirit — through Jesus Christ, who is the Word of truth. Through genuine worship, we come to know God more deeply, to love Him more fully, and to live in a way that delights in Him and brings Him delight. That is the life of a true worshiper.
The outward forms, structures, and expressions of worship are meant to serve one purpose: to help us fix our hearts on the Lord. These may vary across cultures, customs, and traditions — and that is fine. But any adjustment or refinement we make must be guided by one question: does this help us offer our whole heart to the God who looks at the heart?
Question: What will I do to bring pleasure to God?
My desire is to live as a helper and coach — someone who uses God's Word to draw people closer to Him. I want to come alongside others so that through the meditation of even a single verse, they might be led into a deeper awareness of God's heart and carried further into His grace.
