[Romans 5:17–18]
17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.
Influence can be described as “the power of an effect or impact that reaches others.” It always exists in human relationships, flowing in both directions—from one person to another, and back again. However, influence isn’t something that is automatically received just because it is given. It only remains in a person’s life when they choose to receive the influence they desire. In this way, influence is ultimately determined by the will of the receiver. It doesn’t flow just because it is offered—it must be accepted to be passed on.
Jesus did not live His life with the intention of exerting influence. He lived a life of sacrifice and devotion, and people remembered Him because of that. They remembered the path He walked. Those who encountered Him shared their experiences, recorded them, and passed them on to others. That is how His story has come to us today.
A deep person leaves behind a lasting impression. A lasting impression leads others into deep reflection. I want to become such a person—someone who leaves behind a deep impression.
Today's Prayer
God, like Jesus, help me become a person who leaves a lasting impression. Please guide me today through the Holy Spirit with gentle clarity. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

17 한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다
18 그런즉 한 범죄로 많은 사람이 정죄에 이른 것 같이 한 의로운 행위로 말미암아 많은 사람이 의롭다 하심을 받아 생명에 이르렀느니라
<영향력> 이란 "효과나 작용이 다른 사람에게 미치는 힘"이라고 할 수 있는데, 사람과 사람사이에는 언제나 존재하여 한 사람이 다른 사람에게 또는 다른 사람이 그 한 사람에게 양방향으로 흐른다. 그 영향력은 주려고한다고 전달되는 것이 아니라, 받는 사람이 받고 싶은 영향력만 받은 사람의 삶에 남는다. 이런 면에서 영향력은 받는 사람의 의지에 달려있다고 할 수 있다. 준다고 받는 것이 아니라, 받는 사람이 받아야 흘러가는 것이다.
예수님은 영향력을 주시려고 사신 삶이 아니다. 희생과 헌신의 삶을 살았더니 사람들이 기억한 것이다. 그분이 걸어가신 길을 기억하고, 그분을 만났던 사람들이 자신의 경험을 이야기하고, 기록하여 다른 사람들에게 남기며 전달한다. 그래서 지금 우리에게까지 온 것이다.
깊은 사람은 깊은 여운을 남긴다. 깊은 여운은 깊은 생각을 하게 한다. 그런 깊은 사람이 되고 싶다.

하나님, 저도 예수님처럼 깊은 여운을 남기는 사람이 되도록 오늘도 성령으로 세밀하게 인도하여 주옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.
