<Hiding>
This is a scene where Jesus deliberately withdraws Himself to a solitary place, intentionally stepping away from people's attention. All humans have a desire for recognition; we naturally feel pleased and affirmed when praised by others. While encouragement and support can be helpful, we must remain cautious, knowing the dangers of becoming overly conscious of others' views.
Especially as a pastor, I often reflect on the difference between who I am in public—where people are watching—and who I am when no one else is around. My true self is revealed in my thoughts, heart, posture, and attitude when I am completely alone. Being alone, unseen by others, means being seen solely by God. How seriously and consciously I live before Him at such moments reveals my genuine faith.
Thus, at times, it is crucial to intentionally stand alone before God, away from the eyes of others. In this quiet solitude, our character is refined. We must strive to narrow the gap between our visible selves and our hidden selves. This is the most significant and serious task that a pastor must continually undertake.
[Mark 1:45]
"Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere."
<감춤>
