There's a saying, "When an egg breaks from within, a chick is born; when broken from outside, it becomes a fried egg." True life emerges only when we willingly break ourselves from within. Similarly, meaningful changes in our lives occur only when we intentionally break ourselves, choosing transformation. Real, lasting transformation doesn't come when others force it upon us.
When God's Word fills our intellect, emotion, and will, breaking through our existing frameworks, our thoughts, hearts, and wisdom expand. Only then can we experience true growth and maturity.
Jesus, though completely innocent, willingly sacrificed Himself. His flesh and blood were offered for our transgressions; He was broken for our sins. Real transformation occurs when we, like Him, voluntarily sacrifice ourselves. Just as a seed must be buried and broken open to take root and grow, true life begins when we willingly break ourselves.
How about us? When we break ourselves open, what flows from within us? Are the traces of Jesus Christ visible in our lives? May the love and grace of Christ remain as we pass by, and may our lives honor and exalt only Jesus Christ.
[Isaiah 53:4-6, NIV]
4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
<깨짐>
