🍁 가을동행 #35 "하나님의 마음"
2025 토론토 청년코스타에 오신 강사님중의 한 분중에 장로님 한 분이 계셨습니다. 정신과의사 생활을 하시다가 1년전에 의사생활을 접으셨다고 합니다. 이유는 이제는 자신의 삶보다는 하나님을 위해 전적으로 헌신하여 살기로 결심하셨기 때문이라고 합니다. 아직 60세가 되지 않으셨지만 더 늦기전에 하나님의 영광을 위해 살아야겠다고 결단하고 여생을 하나님께 드리기로 결단 하신 분이셨습니다. 아직 자세히 듣지는 못했지만 그 배경이 너무 너무 궁금한 상태입니다.
이렇게 하나님을 위해 살기로 결단하신 분들을 보면 제 마음에서 풍랑이 일어납니다. 어떤 마음으로 그런 결단을 하게 되셨을까 어떤 음성이 들렸기에 이런 결단을 하게 되셨을까 궁금해집니다. 하나님과의 어떤 만남이 있으셨을까? 어떤 감격과 감동이 있으셨을까? 등등의 수많은 질문들이 떠오르는 것을 느낍니다. 오늘 내일 이런 질문들로 나눌 대화가 기대됩니다.
우리 그린랜더스의 마음에도 인생의 큰 결단을 내릴 필요는 없지만 오늘 하루도 하나님께서 우리에게 부어주실 하나님의 마음을 기대하며 걸어가는 오늘 하루가 되기를 소망합니다. 하나님께서 주시는 마음을 기대하며 민감하게 관찰하여 그 마음때문에 조금 더 행복하고 평안한 하루가 되시기를 소망하며 기도합니다.
너희 안에서 행하시는 이는 하나님이시니 자기의 기쁘신 뜻을 위하여 너희에게 소원을 두고 행하게 하시나니 (빌2:13)

🍁 Autumn Journey #35 “The Heart of God” (English Version)
At the 2025 Toronto Young Adult KOSTA, one of the speakers was an elder who had spent his life as a psychiatrist. About a year ago, he made a remarkable decision: he stepped away from his medical career to devote the rest of his life entirely to God. He is not yet sixty, but he sensed that he could no longer delay living fully for God’s glory. I haven’t heard the full story behind his decision yet, but I find myself deeply curious about the journey that led him here.
Whenever I meet someone who makes such a wholehearted commitment to God, something stirs inside me. What moved him to make such a decision? What voice of God did he hear? What encounter, what conviction, what moment of grace captured his heart? Questions rise like waves, and I find myself eagerly looking forward to the conversations we will share today and tomorrow.
I pray that, even if we do not make such dramatic life decisions, our Greenlanders will walk through today expecting the heart of God to meet them. May you stay sensitive to the gentle ways God places His desires, His peace, and His joy within you. And may those quiet movements of His heart make your day lighter, happier, and more deeply at rest.
