To love and embrace all people may feel impossible. And yet, when we remember that God “wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4), we cannot give up. Loving and embracing others is not a task we accomplish once—it is a lifelong mission we grow into.
The key to embracing all is to have the heart of Jesus. Just as a mother hen brings life to a hard egg by sitting on it with warmth and patience, so too do we bring life when we hold others—especially the difficult ones—with the compassion of Christ.
Jesus, though equal with God, emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant. He experienced human suffering and understands every pain.
Mature spirituality means lowering ourselves to feel with those who are low, loving the lonely, the rejected, and the outcast—not with judgment, but with the empathy of Christ. To embrace with the heart of Jesus is the mark of mature faith.
[Philippians 2:5, NIV] In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

Lord, help me become more like Jesus today.
Teach me to embrace those I struggle to love.
Give me Your heart—gentle, patient, and full of grace—
that I may carry others as You have carried me.

[모두품기] 모든 사람을 사랑한다는 것은 어쩌면 불가능한 일일지 모른다. 하지만 "모든 사람이 구원을 받고 예수 그리스도의 진리를 알기에 이르기를 원하시" 하나님의 꿈을 생각하며 포기할 수 없다. 그래서 모든 사람을 품고 사랑하며 섬기는 것은 평생 이루어가야 사명이다.
모든 사람을 품고 사랑할 수 있는 비결은 "예수님의 마음을 품는 것이다." 어미 닭이 딱딱한 달걀을 품었을 때 생명을 낳을 수 있는 병아리로 태어나듯이 한 생명이 또 다른 생명을 낳을 수 있도록 품는 것이 예수님의 마음이다.
예수님은 하나님과 동등됨을 여기지 않으시고 자기를 비우시고 사람과 같이 되셔서 인간이 경험하는 모든 것을 경험하시며 체휼하신 분이시다. 스스로 낮아져, 낮은 곳에 있는 사람들의 마음을 공감하는 것, 소외되고 외롭고 인정받지 못하는 사람들을 품고 사랑하며 예수님의 마음으로 품는 것이 [성숙한 영성의 표]이다.

하나님, 오늘도 예수님의 마음을 조금 더 닮아 내가 품기 어려운 사람들도 품어가는 하루가 되도록 인도하여 주옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.
