Autumn Journey – Day 3.

🍁 Walking Together in Autumn #03 – "Awakening Each Day by the Word”

Hello, dear Walking Together family 🌿

Today marks the third day of our Autumn Journey. When something reaches its third day, a familiar phrase often comes to mind—“three-day resolution” (the idea of starting strong but giving up quickly).

Many of us have probably experienced that. I’ve had countless “three-day resolutions” myself. But now, I no longer wait until the third day. Each morning, I begin again. I try to live what I call a “daily resolution”—deciding each new day to start fresh. At first it wasn’t easy, but as I kept doing it, I found myself growing accustomed to it.Because I believe that nothing in life is truly difficult—there are only things we are not yet familiar with.

May we, the Greenlanders, remember the God who grants us new grace and new opportunities every morning, and walk each day with a new heart, new spirit, and new dream.

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”(Lamentations 3:22–23)

As you walk through this 2025 Walking Together in Autumn, what meaning or value do you hope to discover? Some of you may still feel unprepared, unsure of what to do or how to begin—and that’s perfectly okay.

Since this is the first week, take time to ask yourself these questions, and let them guide you to recognize God’s presence—the traces of His Word dwelling in your life.

  • What are the words of companionship—the Word of God that has always walked with me?
  • What are the words of light that have illuminated the darker corners of my life?
  • What are the unforgettable words or heart of God that have shaped my journey?

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.He was with God in the beginning.Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.”(John 1:1–4)

God’s Word is not a mere text. It is a living power, moving and breathing within us. It pierces our soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. It comforts us, corrects us, teaches us, and trains us in righteousness.

Through the Word, we laugh and weep, we are encouraged and challenged, and we experience the full spectrum of life—its joys and sorrows, its hopes and struggles. This is what it means to live a life of walking with the living God.

Our lives are full of ups and downs—through events, relationships, and emotions. Yet, even because of the Word itself, we experience joy, sorrow, conviction, and renewal. That’s why walking with God is not static but dynamic and alive. I pray that you continue to live that dynamic life with Him each day.

“For the Word of God is alive and active.Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”(Hebrews 4:12–13)

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”(2 Timothy 3:16–17)

🌅

May today be a day when the Word awakens your soul once again. And may your heart be refreshed in His unchanging faithfulness—new every morning.
