Day 4. 영원히 존재하도록 지어졌다.
"하나님이 모든 것을 지으시되 때를 따라 아름답게 하셨고 도 사람들에게는 영원을 사모하는 마음을 주셨느니라" - 전도서 3:11
하나님의 사람으로 살아가는 내 인생에 깊숙히 들어온 말씀중의 하나이다.
누구나 영원을 사모하는 마음을 가지고 있다는 것이다. 신앙이 있던 없던 누구나 영혼의 깊은 곳에는 영원을 향한 갈망이 있다는 것이다. 그 갈망을 무엇으로 채우느냐가 삶의 내용이 달라지는 것이다. 눈에 보이는 것을 추구하는 사람, 눈에 보이지 않는 것을 추구하는 사람, 영원한 것을 추구하는 사람, 일시적인 것을 추구하는 사람, 이 땅 이후의 것을 추구하는 사람, 이 땅의 것을 추구하는 사람 등 그 인생을 무엇으로 채우고 싶어하는가는 그 사람의 가치에 따라 다르다.
자신의 인생을 가볍게 여기는 사람은 없을 것이다.
자신의 인생을 소중히 여긴다면 자신의 인생을 무엇으로 채울 것인가에 대한 자신만의 답이 있을 것이다. 이 질문에 어떻게 반응하는가가 인생의 질감을 결정하는 것이다.

Day 4 — Made for Eternity
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart." — Ecclesiastes 3:11
This is one of the verses that has settled most deeply into my life as a person of God.
Everyone carries within them a longing for eternity. Whether or not a person has faith, deep within the soul there is a yearning that reaches toward something eternal. What we choose to fill that longing with is what shapes the content of our lives.
Some pursue what can be seen; others pursue what cannot. Some chase what is eternal; others, what is temporary. Some live for what lies beyond this earth; others, only for what this earth offers. What a person wants to fill their life with reflects what they truly value.
No one takes their own life lightly. And if you hold your life as something precious, you will have your own answer to the question: What will I fill it with? How we respond to that question is what determines the texture of our lives.
My hope and prayer is that the texture of every life walking this 2026 Lenten Journey together would be woven — stitch by stitch — with the Word of God, filling the eternal thirst that lives within us all.
