Day 5. 하나님의 관점에서 바라보기
질문 - "당신의 삶을 은유나 이미지로 비유한다면 어떻게 표현하시겠어요?"
'코치'
'코치'는 두 가지의 개념이라고 할 수 있다. 하나는 Portsmouth에서 Logan Airport 까지 다니는 C&J와 같이 한 장소에서 다른 장소로 이동시켜주는 버스, Coach이고, 다른 하나는 스포츠 선수들이 갖고 있는 재능과 잠재력을 극대화해주는 Coachg이다.
나는 예수님의 제자들이 성장하고 성숙하도록 돕는 '코치'가 되고 싶다. 한 사람 한 사람이 하나님께서 자신의 인생에 심어두신 씨앗을 발견하고, 그 씨앗에 물을 주고, 거름도 주고, 햇빛을 쬐어주기도 하고, 가려주기도 하여 뿌리를 깊이 내리고, 줄기가 자라고, 꽃도 피고, 열매도 맺어 씨앗을 다른 땅에 떨어뜨리는 제자가 되도록 '코치'가 되고 싶다.
'하나님이 기뻐하시는 코치'가 되는 것이 하나님께서 나에게 맡기신 가장 중요한 일이라고 생각한다.
Day 5 — Seeing Life from God's Perspective
Question: "If you were to describe your life using a metaphor or image, what would it be?"
"A Coach."
The word coach carries two distinct meanings. One is a bus — like the C&J that runs between Portsmouth and Logan Airport — a vehicle that carries people from one place to another. The other is the coach in sports: someone who draws out and maximizes the talents and potential already present in an athlete.
I want to be a coach — one who helps the disciples of Jesus grow and mature. I want to come alongside each person so that they might discover the seed God has planted within their life: watering it, nourishing it, giving it sunlight, and shielding it when needed — until that seed puts down deep roots, grows a strong stem, blooms into a flower, bears fruit, and finally drops its own seed into new soil. That is the kind of disciple I want to help form. That is the kind of coach I want to be.
I believe that becoming a coach who brings joy to God is the most important work He has entrusted to me.
