Day 1. 모든 것이 하나님에게서 시작되었으니
"우리가 이 땅에 살고 있는 이유를 알고 싶다면, 모든 생각은 하나님에게서 시작되어야 한다. 왜냐하면 우리는 그분의 목적을 따라, 그분의 목적을 위해 창조되었기 때문이다"
"우리가 우리 자신을 창조하지 않았기에 우리가 무엇을 위해 창조되었는지 알 길이 없다."
"발명자 혹은 사용 설명서만이 발명품의 목적을 알려줄 수 있다."
"그 목적에 도달하려면 우리의 창조주이신 하나님에게서 시작해야 한다."
"우리가 하나님을 위해 지어진 것이지, 하나님이 우리를 위해 존재하시는 것이 아니라는 것"

"발명품의 목적을 아는 가장 쉬운 방법은, 그것을 만든 사람에게 물어보는 것이다. 삶의 목적을 발견하는 것도 마찬가지다. 하나님께 여쭈어보라"
그러므로, 우리의 삶의 목적을 발견하기 위해서는 하나님으로부터 시작되어야 한다.
[에베소서 1:11-14, 새번역]
11 하나님은 그리스도 안에서 우리를 상속자로 삼으셨습니다. 이것은 모든 것을 자기의 원하시는 뜻대로 행하시는 분의 계획에 따라 미리 정해진 일입니다.
12 그것은 그리스도께 맨 먼저 소망을 둔 우리로 하여금 하나님의 영광을 찬미하는 사람이 되게 하시려는 것이었습니다.
13 여러분도 그리스도 안에서 진리의 말씀 곧 여러분을 구원하는 복음을 듣고서 그리스도를 믿었으므로, 약속하신 성령의 날인을 받았습니다.
14 이 성령은, 하나님의 소유인 우리가 완전히 구원받을 때까지 우리의 상속의 담보이시며, 우리로 하여금 하나님의 영광을 찬미하게 하십니다.

Day 1. Everything Begins with God
"If we want to know why we are living on this earth, all our thinking must begin with God. Because we were created according to His purpose and for His purpose."
"Since we did not create ourselves, we have no way of knowing what we were created for."
"Only the inventor or the instruction manual can tell us the purpose of an invention."
"To reach that purpose, we must begin with God, our Creator."
"We are made for God, not God for us."
"This book will teach us how to do less by focusing on what matters most."
"To become the person God made us to be" - This is the core of this book.
"The easiest way to discover the purpose of an invention is to ask the person who made it. The same is true for discovering the purpose of life. Ask God."
Therefore, to discover the purpose of our lives, we must begin with God.
[Ephesians 1:11-14, NLT]
11 Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.
12 God's purpose was that we who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God.
13 And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.
14 The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.
